Witchgrass is an annual with fibrous roots, reproducing by seeds. The plants are erect, 1 to 2 feet tall and softly hairy throughout. Leaves are broad and somewhat wavy. Spikelets in an open, branched panicle becoming spreading and open at maturity, often breaking from stem and blown about by wind. Seeds 1/16 inch long, greenish or grayish, shiny, smooth, readily separated from hulls when ripe. Herbicide Control Notes:
