White grubs

| White grubs also are called "June beetles" or May beetles", Polyphylla spp. (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae). Adults are about 20 to 35 mm long. Mature larvae or "white grubs" are "C-shaped" with a brown head and three pairs of prominent legs on the thorax. Mature larvae are about 20 to 40 mm long and feed on tubers causing deep holes. Adults feed on the foliage of host plants. The complete life cycle from egg to adult may require three years to complete. |
