Effect of Vydate on Ring, Stubby-Root and Root-knot Nematodes

Very little information is available on the effects of Vydate on other nematodes in mint. Merrifield (1990) found that populations of ring nematodes were less in treated plots from one field in one year but not another. No effect was observed either year in a second field. Studies in 1991 also observed no effect of Vydate on ring nematodes in mint (Ingham and Merrifield unpubl.). Vydate is very effective in controlling damage by stubby-root nematodes in onion, but, in the only study on mint, populations were not reduced by Vydate. No information is available for the effect of Vydate on root-knot nematodes in mint.
